Former NFL wide receiver Sam Hurd sentenced to 15 years in prison

Former Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Sam Hurd was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his role in a drug-distribution scheme, according to the Associated Press.

Hurd was charged with the intent to possess and distribute cocaine and marijuana between July 2011 and June 2017, according to the Chicago Tribune. He was initially arrested in December 2011 for accepting a kilogram of cocaine from an undercover police officer. According to the Tribune, prosecutors alleged Hurd told the officer that he wanted to purchase five to 10 kilograms of cocaine and 1,000 pounds of marijuana weekly to distribute. Once he got in his car, officers surrounded him and arrested him.

Under federal law, the charge Hurd was facing carried a minimum of a 10-year prison sentence. The 28-year-old was initially facing six charges, which would have given him a much longer sentence. In April he pleaded guilty prior to the scheduled start date of his trial.

Lots of remarkable things happened over the course of the game, and Madden chose to select the play in which I intentionally ran my kick returner out of bounds in order to give McAfee as much field as possible. I am probably not going to purchase a GMC-brand vehicle!

At the half, the Colts led 16-0. McAfee had kicked three field goals, one from 60 yards out, and had also managed to scramble for an 8-yard rushing touchdown. In the second half, though, the Titans’ offense woke up and tied the game at 16, and the Tennessee defense had finally managed to halt my fake-punt antics. I suddenly had a lot of trouble trying to advance the ball.

We headed to overtime. The Titans won the coin toss and Detroit Lions Cheap Jerseys kicked a field goal on their first possession, meaning McAfee and the Colts Cincinnati Reds Cheap Jerseys absolutely had to score.

And this is how it ended.
